• Description: Founded in 2001, Paso a Paso is a program of the Community Benefit department at St Joseph and Redwood Memorial Hospitals that provides childbirth education, breast-feeding support, parenting classes, support groups, and other activities. Paso a Paso educates and supports Spanish speaking pregnant women and their families through classes, home visits, hospital visits and connecting clients with the resources they need. All services are free. With an atmosphere of kindness and respect, families discover and develop their independence and recognize their own strengths. The Bilingual staff offers practical and emotional support to the Latino community in a safe environment where feelings, concerns, and beliefs can be confidentially shared. They offer classes and support groups: Prenatal Classes - 6:00 - 8:00 PM Mothers and Fathers - 6:00 - 8:00 PM Mother to Mother - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Mothers group - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Father to Father - 7:00 - 8:00 PM Safety seat Classes The next virtual car seat class (in Spanish) is scheduled for 3/17/2022 at 10am.
